Holiday Madness
The Holiday Season is upon us. I find myself more reflective than previous years... grateful for all I have, determined to make the most of what we have & what the Lord provides... I may not be materialistically wealthy but am truly rich in the ways that matter most. I have a wonderful family, amazing friends and strong faith. Today was such a good (but incredibly busy) day. We started out on this snowy morning for breakfast with Santa, then attended a church sponsored toy giveaway, got Santa photos at WalMart (Keira did NOT cry!!! Thaddeus was an incredibly adorable reindeer) did a bit of shopping, Keira got amazing cute snow boots at Target and I got 2 more Christmas gifts (one for Keira, one for Daddy) ordered photos for family. Then we went home & I made homemade turkey vegetable and popped a whole bunch of popcorn for popcorn strings for the Christmas tree at work! Next weekend we have Jacob & Elizabeth for Judy & Tom's Christmas party, then my Christmas party, yea!

Whew!
Whew, yesterday was crazy... Vince had his procedure & I had not only a MRI, but also an MRV. Dr Shyu raised my zombie-med (amiltriptyline) to 75 mg. Good Lord, sometimes I think the man is trying to make me slip into catatonia. So, both of my sweethearts spent the night with Auntie Ree. Boo:( I woke up this morning and couldn't wait to go get them. I was so sad to find out that they both have a tummy bug. Poor Keira, she was doing so great with pottys. Oh well, at least she went down for a nap nicely, thanks to Aunt Maggie & the set of Pooh board books!

Keira's First Car
So, yesterday, I get this call. I am so excited! The $60 Little Tykes car I wanted for my 2 yr old is at a garage sale for $4! Alright! A deal I (and the checking account) can handle. So Keira is hesitant at first, but by the end of the evening, she was navigating through the limited downstairs space of our town home. My worries about the double ear infection she's been fighting are momentarily laid aside, so that I can enjoy my daughter's simple joy. Good deal.
